Moving back to Carmel wasn’t prompted by a dark and stormy night, but rather a stifling summer afternoon in my Midtown Manhattan apartment. As I turned on the TV, Clint Eastwood’s classic thriller “Play Misty for Me”, which unfolded in Carmel, captured my attention. The stunning scenes of Carmel Beach and the glorious coastline made it clear to me that it was time to return home after years of globetrotting. Even the fog seemed appealing as I perspired in the heat!

Since that decisive day in 1992, my decision to move back to Carmel has proven to be life-changing. Carmel’s blend of small-town charm, breathtaking natural beauty, and temperate climate draws people from across the globe, making our area remarkably sophisticated and vibrant. Yet, it remains a relaxed, nature-centric environment offering countless opportunities to embrace its scenic splendor—a truly remarkable lifestyle.
